Meet Ethan

Ethan Spencer has been adding joy to our world for 2 months and 17 days.  A bundle of sweetness, we learn a little more about him each day.  With highly kissable cheeks and a winning, toothless smile, his presence brightens any room and warms any heart.  Thus far, Ethan has an easy-going nature–he only fusses about things really worth fussing about.  He loves to cuddle, is delighted when people talk to him, and usually answers back.  His sister is one of his favorite people; he’s often interested in what she’s doing, though she rarely stays still long enough for him to figure it out.  He likes a good song, doesn’t want to be left out of the action, and saves his best smiles for Mommy.  All in all, a squeezable, darling boy.  I think we’ve decided to keep him.  🙂

Meet Katelyn

Katelyn Mae is our darling girl who has been delighting us now for 2 years, 6 months, and 4 days.  She’s always had an intensity about her that currently displays itself in her energy and volume level.  Smarter than the average child, (trust me… I’m her mother), Katelyn constantly soaks up the world around her.  Visit our home, and you might find her dancing and singing along to American Idol with her flashlight microphone.  Sit down to chat with her, and you’ll discover she’s an expert on Disney princesses.  Visit on another day, and, after greeting you in Chinese, she may count for you in Spanish.  Or sing  “It’s a Small World,” her “Disneyland song.”  What’s that?  You want to go to Disneyland with us?  Katelyn will happily be your guide… as long as you want to do just exactly what’s on her itinerary. 🙂  She’s two, after all.

What we love best about our little girl is her enormous heart.  She loves big hugs and gives them freely.  Her kisses can melt your heart.  She is thoughtful, compassionate, and kind.  She reminds us to pray before we eat and smothers her brother with affection.  She is a bouncing bundle of happy energy… and we couldn’t imagine life without her.                                                 

Entering the world… of blogging

I never thought I’d start a blog, but here I am.  Quite frankly, I was feeling a bit behind the times.  I’ll begin by saying I don’t expect anyone to actually read this.  I certainly don’t keep up with my friends’ blogs and can’t imagine that someone wants to sit down and peruse mine.  However, I have found it quite handy on occasion to pop over to someone’s blog and be instantly updated on their most recent days, months, or in some cases, decades.  Want to know where someone is and what they’re up to?  They probably have a blog, and presto!  You’re caught up.  Blogs serve their purpose, I suppose.  The purpose of mine will primarily be for my own amusement, with a secondary benefit being the creation of a one-stop, Green family synopsis.  So, welcome to my blog!  I can’t make any guarantees about what you’ll find here, but you’re welcome all the same.
